FAQ

Most dog daycares place large groups of dogs together and manage behavior as it happens.
At Vegas K9 Adventures, we build structured packs.
Dogs are evaluated before joining, placed into intentional groups, and guided through off-leash wilderness hikes led by two handlers.
The focus is not just exercise.
It is behavior, structure, and balance.

Yes, because off-leash is earned.
Dogs must demonstrate reliable recall, social compatibility, and responsiveness before participating off-leash.
Every hike is led by two handlers, and every dog wears a GPS tracking collar.
We maintain constant accountability through visual monitoring, GPS tracking, and frequent check-ins.

Every dog wears a long-range GPS tracking collar.
Handlers monitor location, direction, and distance in real time.
In addition, dogs are physically counted:
• before departure
• every 5 minutes during the hike
• at terrain changes
• at water breaks
• before returning
This system ensures full accountability at all times.

We transport dogs to higher elevation areas outside Las Vegas, typically 6,000 feet or higher.
These locations provide:
• cooler temperatures
• safer terrain
• fewer crowds and distractions
We intentionally avoid trailheads, campsites, and high-traffic public areas to maintain a controlled environment.

Yes.
Boarding at Vegas K9 Adventures includes the same structured environment as our daycare program.
Dogs participate in pack activities, including hikes when appropriate, and settle into a calm home environment afterward.
This creates a more balanced and comfortable boarding experience compared to traditional kennel settings.

Our daycare program includes:
• home pick-up and drop-off
• structured transport in balanced groups
• off-leash pack hikes (when appropriate)
• continuous supervision by two handlers
• real-time monitoring and behavior management
This is not a drop-off facility.
It is a guided, full-day experience.

Every dog is evaluated before joining the pack.
We assess:
• temperament
• social behavior
• confidence level
• responsiveness
Dogs that are not yet ready for off-leash participation may remain leashed or continue building reliability before joining the full pack.

Behavior is addressed early.
Our handlers observe and guide dogs throughout the day, and any concerning behavior is discussed the same day.
If needed, adjustments are made, including:
• different pack placement
• increased supervision
• temporary removal from off-leash activity
If behavior impacts safety, we communicate directly with the owner and create a plan.

Pack size is determined by stability, not volume.
We allow:
• up to 8 dogs per handler
• up to 16 dogs total with two handlers
Groups are adjusted daily based on the behavior and cohesion of the dogs.

Yes.
Our handlers operate as Pack Stewards, responsible for the safety, behavior, and balance of the group.
They are trained to:
• read dog behavior
• manage pack dynamics
• apply fair, calm corrections
• make real-time decisions in the field
Every hike is led by two handlers. No exceptions.

Yes.
We provide service throughout the northwest Las Vegas valley, including:
• Summerlin
• Centennial Hills
• surrounding neighborhoods
Home pick-up and drop-off are included.

The first step is to schedule a call.
We’ll discuss your dog, your goals, and whether the program is the right fit.
From there, we’ll guide you through the evaluation and onboarding process.
